The atmosphere is always broadcasting.

Temperature, pressure, humidity, wind — free public data, refreshed hourly, covering every square kilometer of the planet. Open-Meteo serves it over HTTPS without keys, rate limits, or tracking. This page fetches it through a Cloudflare Pages Function, so the browser never hits the upstream directly.

Default reading is pulled from your edge-detected coordinates. Override with any lat/lon.

Data source: api.open-meteo.com — free, no key required.
Route: browser → /research/signal/api/atmosphere → Pages Function → Open-Meteo. Browser never sees the upstream.
Wind direction is the compass direction the wind is coming from, not the direction it's blowing toward.
Pressure is reported at mean sea level, adjusted for elevation.
